Live sports are not an episode list
A tracker built for scripted episode progress will make a mess of a season with 82 games and postponements. Do not import sports as if they were a drama.
nextepisode is for shows you tick and return dates you care about. Sports belong in a scores app. Mixing them is how Up Next becomes noise.
Scripted first
TV Time’s remaining searchers want history and next episodes, not a second fantasy league. Keep the shelf for series.
If a documentary mini about a team lands as a show, that is a limited series. The nightly game is not.
Air dates lie for sports
Timezones and midnight air dates are already hard for TV. Live events make them fiction. Do not train yourself to ignore notifications because of a match you never meant to track.
Frequently asked questions
What if a show is a weekly live event?
If it has an episode list you actually watch in order, tick it. If it does not, leave it out.
Can I track Olympics?
Not as a useful episode backlog. Use a schedule elsewhere.
