How to rebuild a TV watch history after TV Time shut down

TV Time closed on 15 July 2026. Here is how to reconstruct episode progress from an export, a Trakt file, or the shows you still remember.

If you exported before 15 July 2026, bring that file into another tracker and map show titles to current episode lists. If you did not export, you can still rebuild a usable watchlist from the series you remember and mark episodes as you re-establish progress.

What actually disappeared

TV Time shut down when its parent refocused on AI products and subscriptions covered only a fraction of server costs. The servers went dark. Nobody can pull your history from them now.

What survives is whatever left the product: a CSV or backup you downloaded, a Trakt sync you already had, or your own memory of the shows you were mid-season on.

If you have a file

Prefer a structured export over screenshots. A list of show names plus last season and episode is enough to rebuild progress. We map those rows onto TVmaze episode lists so season numbers stay aligned when a show was remade or retitled.

Trakt exports are the cleanest incoming format because they already treat episodes as first-class rows. A TV Time export, if you kept one, is the next best.

  • Keep original show titles in a column you can sort
  • Preserve season and episode numbers, not just “watching”
  • Export again from whichever tracker you land on

If you have no file

Start with the shows you can name in two minutes. Mark the last episode you are sure you finished, not the one you think you reached. A conservative progress bar is more useful than a confident wrong one.

Upcoming return dates still come from TVmaze. Treat them as a schedule, not a guarantee — networks move premieres.

Frequently asked questions

Are you affiliated with TV Time?

No. This is an independent tracker. TV Time is a trademark of its owner.

Can you recover an account I never exported?

No. If the data never left their servers, it is gone. You can still rebuild from memory and keep an export this time.
