A rewatch is not a new-season tick
Rewatching S01 for a friend should not mark S02 as unwatched. Keep rewatch state separate from the first-time progress you rebuilt after TV Time.
The up-next queue is for unfinished first watches. A rewatch is a second pass. If you mix them, the household will spoil a show someone has not finished.
One canonical progress
After a shutdown, you fought to rebuild history. Do not throw it away because you started the show again on a Sunday. Use a note, a list, or a second profile.
Spoiler-safe titles still matter
A shared screen that says ‘S05E01’ during a S01 rewatch is a spoiler. Keep the overlay honest about which pass you are on.

Can I have two progress bars?
A second profile is the honest version. One bar with a ‘rewatching’ flag is a nice extra; do not require it to keep first-time state.
What about annual rewatches?
Park them on a list. They are not ‘up next’ unless you put them there.
