When a show disappears from TVmaze or TMDB
Licensing fights and takedowns hit metadata too. If the row vanishes, your ticks should not. A tracker that 404s your history is repeating TV Time’s worst day.
Keep local progress even if the poster dies. nextepisode can show a stub title. It should not delete the season you already marked.
Export before you debug
If a title goes blank, export CSV first. Then you can argue with a metadata ID without gambling the list.
Do not merge into a neighbour
A similarly named show is not a rescue. Merging is how you contaminate both counts.

Can I paste a custom title?
For a stub, yes. For a living show, wait for the database. Custom titles are a last resort.
Will the poster come back?
Sometimes. Progress matters more. You can live without art.
