Track watched episodes and resume at the right place
An episode tracker records the episodes you mark watched and shows the next unwatched episode. Progress is manual; the tracker does not play video or monitor your streaming accounts.
Start with a show and its seasons
Search for a show and add it to your library. Open its season list to see episodes in order, including their season and episode numbers. Those numbers help distinguish episodes with similar names and make it easier to compare the tracker with the service where you watch.
Episode data comes from TVmaze. If a special or reordered release does not match the platform you use, inspect the episode title and air date before checking it off.
Mark what you actually watched
Check off an episode after watching it. Progress is based on these explicit marks, not on playback history from Netflix, Plex or another service. That makes the record independent of your streaming subscription, but it also means you must keep it current yourself.
A series can have a long season and a short new season at the same time. The tracker keeps the checkmarks with their episodes, rather than reducing the whole show to one vague watched or unwatched label.
- Mark one episode at a time
- See a next-unwatched episode
- Undo a mistaken checkmark
Correct mistakes without rebuilding
If you mark the wrong episode, change its watched state back. The next-episode queue is recalculated from the marks you still have. You do not need to remove the show or start a season over because of one wrong tap.
This also works when you decide to rewatch a run of episodes. Clear the relevant marks deliberately and the next-unwatched result will reflect your changed record.
A concrete catch-up example
Suppose you watched the first three episodes of a six-episode season before taking a break. Mark those three watched. When you return, the next-unwatched view points to episode four, while the first three stay in your history.
If episode four has not aired, it should be treated as upcoming rather than ready to play. If you accidentally marked episode five, undo that check and confirm the queue again. The example is a workflow, not a claim that this tracker can play the show.
Pause a show without losing your place
Move a series to paused when you are not ready to continue. Its episode marks remain in the library, and you can resume later without trying to remember which season you reached.
Move a completed show to finished, or a show you abandoned to dropped. These are show-level organization choices; the episode-level marks are still the record of what you watched.
Use air dates with care
TVmaze provides upcoming dates and episode details. Networks and distributors can move premieres, so a scheduled date is not a guarantee. If a future episode is missing a date, that does not mean the series has ended.
The tracker helps plan a backlog. It is not an official network schedule, an availability search engine, or an automatic notification that a particular streaming subscription added the episode.
Test and export your progress
The public demo contains sample viewing state. Mark a sample episode and observe how the next-unwatched position changes before creating an account. Demo actions do not edit your actual library.
When you do save a personal history, inspect the account export and keep a copy. Confirm which show and episode fields the file contains; no tracker should require trusting an untested exit path.
Frequently asked questions
Can I track shows from different streaming services?
Yes. Episode progress belongs to the show, not to a particular streaming subscription.
Can I undo a watched episode?
Yes. Episode state can be changed when you marked the wrong item or decide to rewatch from an earlier point.
Does the tracker play video?
No. It records progress and schedules; it does not host or stream episodes.
Does it connect to my streaming accounts?
No automatic playback tracking is required. You mark watched episodes manually.
What happens when an air date changes?
Dates come from TVmaze and may be revised. Check an official schedule if the exact time matters.
Can I try episode progress without signing up?
Yes. The public demo uses sample shows; create an account to keep your own progress.
